Writing for…

I have been a freelance journalist for over 20 years and many of my features and articles been covered in a wide variety of publications – both in print and online – in the UK and overseas.

I love the outdoors, I love to travel, get out and about, meet new people, visit new places (and old ones), and attend events and festivals, anything that will capture my imagination and make me come away thinking ‘wow’!

After all, life is all about experiences isn’t it? I think so anyway, and enjoying the moment and something different.

It’s with that in mind that my main areas of interest involve travel, tourism and hospitality; sport (notably cricket, rugby and football), leisure activities and pastimes, heritage and culture, lifestyle and social history, and food and drink.

Among the publications I have written for and been published in include:~

  • Destination UK
  • Discover Britain
  • Discover Britain for Groups
  • Discover Britain’s Gardens, Historic Homes and Castles
  • Discover Britain’s Museums and Galleries Annual
  • Eclipse Magazine
  • Eurosport
  • Freetime
  • Freetime for Group Travel
  • New Horizons for conferences and events
  • Rugby Advertiser
  • Rugby Observer
  • Rugby and Daventry Radio
  • Life Magazine
  • Great Food Monthly
  • The Village Emporium
  • Revista (Spain)
  • World Rugby Museum blog

I wouldn’t say I have got itchy feet, but I’m not one for standing still and I am always on the lookout for new things to see, do, visit and experience. And then write about what I have seen and experienced, all for the interest and pleasure of others so that they too can maybe do the same.

So if you are an owner, director, marketing or account manager, or someone who is involved and responsible for the promotion of a destination, visitor attraction, venue or event, please do get in touch.  I would be happy to chat with you about a potential visit and feature.

Likewise, for more info and examples on some of my current and previous work and assignments, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line or give me a call – all of my contact details are here.
