Historic Coubertin manuscript donated to Olympic Museum in Lausanne

There has been an interesting follow-up to my recent article about the recent record sale of Pierre de Coubertin’s original Olympics manifesto.

It has emerged that the historic manuscript has now been donated to be housed in the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland. Read more about it here.

If you are wondering why this is of interest, it all has connections of all local theme to your writer. For it was at Rugby School – a mere 10 minute walk from me – and more so one of its most famous headmasters, Thomas Arnold, who inspired de Coubertin to establish the modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896.
