Spectacular Christmas Light Trail opens this month at Coombe Abbey

A spectacular after-dark light trail is opening at Coombe Abbey shortly for this year’s yuletide period, promising to wow its visitors and really get them in the festive spirit.

After being forced to cancel last year due to Covid, Luminate will be running from the 18th November to Christmas Eve 24th December at the historic parkland setting between Rugby and Coventry.

The captivating light trail will weave a one and a half kilometre long route around the lovely park and gardens at Coombe Abbey, starting from the Park’s Visitor Centre. Once on the light trail visitors can expect to see 3D projections, light tunnels, a wishing tree, interactive light elements, a light maze and much more.

Tickets for the light trail are booked on a starting time slot basis, but you can take as long as you like walking the magical trail. Along the trail there will be mulled wine, marshmallows for toasting and tasty hot food in the courtyard.

After missing last year due to the pandemic, Daniel Maycock, one of the organisers said, “We are really looking forward to finally opening at Coombe, it’s been a long time in the planning”.

“It’s a beautiful venue, perfect for an enchanting light trail and we have lots of amazing elements to show off, and with the addition of some amazing new catering opening at the visitor centre. We can’t wait to open!

“We look forward to welcoming people to this captivating event over the Festive period and hope it becomes a favourite family tradition for years to come”.

Tickets for the trail are now on sale at the Luminate website (click HERE) where you can also find more information.
